Directions: Near the intersection of Jamacha Blvd and Sweetwater Springs Blvd
Thomas Bros: 1291 F1
Run Fee: $5
Trail type: (not specified)
Dog friendly: (not specified)
Notes:
Start is at the intersection of Jamacha Blvd and Sweetwater Springs Blvd head East on Sweetwater Springs Rd. If you see a sign for Otay Water District you are going in the right direction. If not turn around.

Sweetwater Springs Blvd becomes US Elevator Rd. Follow that to the end.

There will be Turkey and Eagle trails - both 100% off paved road. There will a single beer/water check. If the weather is anything like it was today (4/13/08) it is MOST STRONGLY recommended that you bring your own water on trail. It was BRUTAL out there scouting trail today. If you want to do something other than the T/E trails there are other options, just see Bark or Power Tool at the start.

Also, there is no shade at the On In so if you want to have some shade you might want to bring a shade umbrella if you have one.

If you own gaiters it would be a good idea to wear them unless you enjoy having lots of foxtails in your shoes and soxs.

It is a dog friendly trail but only if you don't mind the possibility of them getting lots of foxtails, they are VERY heat tolerant (if the weather is like today although there are several places where they can cool along the trail), and of course at this time of year there is always the possibility of rattle snakes.

There is also the possibility of coming across horses on trail so whistles are discouraged.

If you don't like the trail you can only blame it on whoever it was that tricked me into volunteering to lay trail :-)

On On
Your loving hares
