If you’re like me you’ve always thought of June 27th as just the day that the founder of the mormon church Joseph Smith was shot to death in a jail cell in 1844 by several men in black face. A fact that is both ironic and funny on a lot of levels I know, but did you know that June 27th is also Djibouti independence day? (Thank you Google) Yes the country with the best name ever is celebrating its independence from those oppressive freedom hating French. Djibouti ,pronounced Did-ja-booty, not only sounds like a vague reference to anal sex, it’s also fun to say. With the possible exception of Djiknowurgay, Djibouti just might be the best name for a nation ever. So come to the Djibouti independence day run and chew the Kat! Trail is NOT dog Friendly!
