Location: Trail Start: Cougar Pass Trailhead, North Escondido.

Directions: Exit 15 at Mountain Meadow. Turn right and go up. Continue on Hidden Meadows to end and turn left on Granite Ridge. Take first right onto Meadow Glen East. Go right at fork on Cougar Pass. At the bottom turn right onto dirt section of Cougar Pass. Go 1/2 mile to parking lot. Start

Notes:
City folk think it's boondocks so don't get lost. Simple, mostly virgin all dirt trail. Bring some water, Easy Out's packing in a banana stuff check. A-A drive to B at the family hacienda before it's sold. Pool and tennis court so bring tennis rackets and swim suit. 270 degree mountain view over Valley Center, Palomar, etc. Park so others can fit in.
