To drive on Camp Pendleton you need a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration. The gate guard will want to see, and probably scan, your driver's license. If they ask your destination tell them you are going to a fun run that will end at Lake O'Neill. If the guard asks about a sponsor tell them LtCol Mike Collier, USMC (ret), and CDR Vic Krulak, USN (ret).
