Let's revisit the old days of the west when men were men and sheep were scared. Stagecoach park has a preserved old stagecoach station we can gawk at.
Park in the lower lot closest to Rancho Santa Fe Road. (Not the soccer of baseball fields) Overflow parking above by the fields or in the retail parking lot across the street. Expect hills, tunnels, trails, road, parks, bathroom stop and 2 very special beer checks! Walker can avoid some hills. Turkey 5-6. Eagle 7-8. Dogs are not allowed in Carlsbad parks. Strollers ok for shorter route.
Nice running weather for the faint of heart.
