New Belgium brewing's "Tour de Fat" returns! Bring your costumes and tricked out bikes for a 2.9 mile parade ride through South Park. Rego opens at 10am, ride starts at 11am, return to the park around noon. Get there early to register as there will be a lot of people. Registration is free but you'll need money for beer and food after the ride. We'll be going past some bars in South Park so money on trail might be useful too. Parking can be found at the big Zoo parking lot, San Diego Community College parking structure at 16th & B, Morley field sports complex, or on streets in Golden Hill, then just ride over. Afterwards enjoy beers by New Belgium, comedy shows, theatrics, strange bicycle-based contraptions, porta-potty karaoke, and be sure to bring your helmet so you can ride drunk in the crazy bike corral (a limited number of helmets are available for those without one). Even if you don't have a bike you can come join the post-ride fun from about noon onwards. This event supports San Diego County Bicycle Coalition and the San Diego Mountain Bike Association.
