Location: Steele Canyon HS; 12440 Campo Rd, Spring Valley
Directions: Head south toward Jamul at the intersection of Jamacha Rd (SR-54) and Campo Rd (SR-94) for 1.4 miles; turn left at the stop light into the HS grounds

Turkey (under 4) and Eagle (over 4) Trails!
-both are short, flat, boring with lots of road
-one shared beercheck
-both trails are dog friendly
-even mountain bike accessible thought you may have to push or carry or push your bike at times.
There is a strong likelihood that you will meet up with other hikers, horse riders, birders, dogs, etc. so please be polite and please no whistles around horses.
Bark saw a big damn rattlesnake while scounting. It's not unusual (cue Tom Jones) considering the area so just be wary.
There is a good chance it will be hot (yes it does that in East County in August) so please make sure to bring enough water for yourself and your 4-legged companions. The only water on trail will be at the beer check and there is no guarantee how long it will last.
We'll have several pop ups but shade might be at a premium
