Marine Corps Birthday Run
Warning: there will be no beer check on trail

Location: Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, California
Directions: I-5 north to the Camp Pendleton exit. Enter through the Main Gate. From the Main Gate follow Vandegrift Blvd 6.9 miles to the traffic light at 9th Street. Turn right. Go 1/4 mile to parking lot on the right.
From the Back Gate, 2.6 miles to traffic light at Rattlesnake Cyn Rd, turn left. 1.2 miles to Vandegrift Blvd., turn left. 2.0 miles to 9th St. turn left, go 1/4 mile to parking lot of the right. Consider car pooling.

The North County Hash is proud to present a Marine Corps Birthday run. This is "Come on the Titos" virgin Haring with North County.
Excellent Marine Corps chow provided by Jock Strap, washed down with Stone IPA. Marine Corps Birthday cake cutting celebration.

"B" is at Lake O'Neill. From the run start go back to Vandegrift Blvd. Turn right, go 2.5 miles to the traffic light at Santa Margarita Rd. turn left, go 1/4 mile to Lake O'Neill Rd, turn right. Go 1/4 mile to cabanas # 2678 and 2679 on the left(This not our usual location, that cabana is being rebuilt).
To drive on Camp Pendleton you need a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and current registration. If the gate sentry asks where you are going tell him/her "22 Area for a fun run". If they ask who the sponsor is tell them "LtCol M.H. Collier USMC (Ret) and LtCol G. Eckhof USMC (Ret).
Base regulations say dogs must be on a leash at all times.
