Don't be afraid of the sun, it's just a little bit warm.....and yes I'm asking you to run in Santee. Trail will be majority shiggy with a chance to climb some boulders (I don't recommended most of you halfminds trying it). You're reward for doing trail in this heat is an On-In at Spongy Ding Dong's place (which is a short drive from the park) with a small above ground pool to cool off and some shade for circle.

Address: 924 Candlelight Place, "La Jolla", or maybe it's really very north Pacific Beach. But for sure it is nice and cool close to the ocean.
Directions: Get off the I5 in PB and head west toward that undulating big wet blue thing. Then north toward those inviting flanks of Mt. Soledad. You have been there before. Ahhh . . . Look for moaning hashers.

Cool coast cruising trail of about 4 miles with walker shortcut. Absolutely no net elevation gain and no big hills enroute, but interesting checks will have you exploring new parts of the coastal strip. In LJH3 tradition, all false trails guaranteed to be terminated by checkbacks.

Its been a hot, hot, hot summer! We are in the Dog Days for sure. Cum on out to the Black Cat Bar in Scrappy City Heights dressed as your favorite house pet and get your run (or walk) on. Ears, Spiked Collars or Leashes are all acceptable. Your actual dog is welcome on trail, but not at the bar (Sad face). See you Monday!

Listen up, you mangy mutts and spicy strays! It is time to drop your leashes, hump some legs, and knock shit off tables because Fidolingus is coming into heat (aka turning another year older)! What better way to celebrate than with a half-assed, maximum-drinking stumble around Shelter Island??

Cats vs. Dogs. Wear ears, tails, leashes, or full fursuits if you want to sweat. Cat and/or dog-related human attire is also acceptable.
Bring your ID, cash/card for the bar stop, and a thirst for cold fluids and possibly a birthday treat. Real dogs are welcome on trail but must handle chaotic costumed humans.
