Directions: Just take 8 east to Alpine exit for Tavern Road, proceed past Alpine Blvd, and past the next stoplight. Turn into the Joan MacQueen Middle School driveway to park, or park directly in front of the school. Do not park on the private side street or in the teachers' lot.

This is the only 2017 SDH3 trail with the unique On In at The Shire! It's a drive from A to B due to limited parking at On In. PLEASE CARPOOL to Alpine--suggest four hashers per car or more in a van! Bring a chair for your outdoor dining comfort, sunscreen, hat. No whistles, horns or smokes at this one, my friends.
Trail is mostly dirt and not too long, and a walkers trail if that's your thang. Polite dogs must be leashed on trail and On In. Beware of rattle snakes. The forecast is great running weather, sunny '60's.
Wear hobbit or Lord of the Rings attire IF you wanna geek out during your workout or at The Shire.
You're welcome to stay at the Shire until the Beermeister leaves, your driver leaves, or my brew stash fails to please you.
